The Housedress Supper Club Inaugural Dinner
Welp, we did it... the Housedress Supper Club's first ever dinner party went off without a hitch! (almost) Let's get into all the juicy details... so many things went right (and wrong), and so I'm sharing some behind the scenes details for how I prepped, decorated, cooked, and curated the guestlist so you can get inspired in your own home!
My favorite memory from this night was all the prep work I did with my mom. She is always down to help with TIMH in any way she can, so she dropped everything to come to LA and help with shopping, cooking, and decorating. We had so much fun in the process, the supper club itself was just the cherry on top.
Keep scrolling for all the behind the scenes content. It's getting released to the Supper Club members first... that's you!... including my mood board, menu, and who showed up.
Every party I throw starts with a mood board.
I set the theme and pull any inspiration I can find that fits into the vibe I want for the evening. The theme for this night's supper was Olive You... remember how you used to mouth "olive juice" to your crush in elementary school? This is the grown up version of that. It was meant to be a (very belated) Galentine's Day get-together.

Here's the links to everything I made:
🍸 Batched Dirty Martinis
🫒 Martini Dip with Salty Chips
🥗 Radicchio Salad with Castelvetrano Olives
🍝 One-Pot Puttanesca
🥦 Charred Broccoli
Oh and the cheesecake? I bought it at the bakery at my local grocery store :) Same with the olive bread rolls... they are from Trader Joes! I tend to lean on the "work smarter, not harder" mentality whenever I can.
And I know you're dying to know... who showed up!While I wanted to invite every single person I have ever had a stimulating conversation with, a supper club is intimate by design. I decided to collect a good group of people who had a lot in common, but perhaps didn't know each other too well before my supper club. This makes for good conversations and genuine connections over the dinner table.

This group had each other laughing ALL night! Maybe a few too many martinis got poured; one even ended up on the floor. But it opened up the table for all kinds of interesting convos. Top among them: Lala's candlelit holiday engagement, our future plans to go to the Renaissance Faire, and how Cody's reselling biz is going (it's going great).
Last but not least... my housedress actually made me calmer.I wore the Lindsay Housedress in Martini Olives to host my guests. It really is the most practical, comfortable, yet still stylish outfit you could ever where to host a supper club. I was really stressed about pulling this all off, but knowing my outfit was locked in took a huge weight off of me and allowed me to channel my energies into other things, like tying little velvet bows on martini glasses and getting all the right content.
