The Housedress Supper Club 🍷

Some nights start with a really good dress.

What is a supper club, anyway?

A supper club is an intimate dinner hosted in the home, where food, conversation, and atmosphere matter just as much as what’s on the plate.

It’s slower than a restaurant, more personal than a party, and designed for lingering — the kind of night where no one checks the time.

How a housedress started it all...

I design housedresses meant to be lived in — cooking, hosting, and doing it all without changing outfits. Somewhere along the way, I noticed a pattern: I’d put one on to make dinner, friends would stay longer, and someone would always say, “We should do this again.” The dress became the dinner party.

Why I’m starting the Housedress Supper Club

I’ve always loved the ritual of gathering around a table, but it took time — and space — to make it real.

This all started when I learned about the Turk's Inn in Hayward, Wisconsin by way of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Basically a shuttered supper club moved everything inside of it to reopen in the neighborhood I lived in in 2015. I loved to cook and host, but I lived in a shoebox-sized basement apartment with three roommates and a miniature stove, so curating my own supper club was kind of out of the question. Instead I spent nights at Turk's Inn and dreamed of the day I could throw such fabulous dinners in my own home.

Now, I want to create the kind of evenings I used to dream about: beautiful food, thoughtful details, and a room full of people who appreciate both.
